Job Retention Scheme Claim Calculator

Here is the link to the HMRC Government Calculator, which you should use to calculate your furlough reimbursement.

We have created the spreadsheets below for you to use to check the government website calculations.

WEEKLY PAID EMPLOYEE

2019/2020 Tax Year Calculator - Use this spreadsheet to calcuate any furlough for weekly paid employees in March 2020.

2020/2021 Tax Year Calculator - Use this spreadsheet to calculate any furlough for weekly paid employees in April 2020 onwards.

MONTHLY PAID EMPLOYEE

2019/2020 Tax Year Calculator - Use this spreadsheet to calcuate any furlough for monthly paid employees in March 2020.

2020/2021 Tax Year Calculator - Use this spreadsheet to calculate any furlough for monthly paid employees in April 2020 onwards.

2020/2021 Tax Year Return to Work Calculator - Use this spreadsheet to calculate furlough pay for monthly paid employees in April 2020 onwards for the month that they return to work.

When using either of these spreadsheets, you will see that there is an 80% furlough tab and a 100% furlough tab. You will need to use the appropriate sheet for whether you kept your employee on 100% or reduced their pay to 80%. These sheets are able to calculate part months (so part on full pay and part on furlough) but they cannot accomodate any unusual items on the payroll.

Our spreadsheet (however great it's accuracy) is designed to be used as a checking tool for you, we do not take any responsibility for calculation errors that result from this.
