Employee Payslip FAQ's

Please reach out to a member of our team if you have any questions not covered here.

What is the password for my payslip?

The password for your payslip is your date of birth in 6 digit form (DDMMYY).

How do I pay the NI and tax to HMRC?

Your employer will pay this to HMRC on your behalf; you do not need to make any physical payments for this.

I don’t want to pay into the pension?

You can choose to opt out / cease contributions of the pension scheme if you wish. If your pension scheme is with NEST you will need to follow the instructions within your NEST welcome pack (that you will have received in the post when you were enrolled into the pension scheme).

If your employer manages your pension themselves, please do inform them of your wish to opt out of the pension scheme. They will then inform us and going forwards there will be no pension contributions on the payslips.

How do I opt into the pension scheme?

To opt into the pension scheme please email your employer stating “I personally submit this notice to join a workplace pension scheme”. They will then forward this onto us and going forwards you will pay pension contributions within your employment on any earnings above £120 per week gross.

Where is my P45?

Once your employer has informed us that you are leaving their employment we will upload a copy of your P45 to your member’s area on our website under Important Payroll Documents.

My tax code is wrong

We will have actioned any tax code changes we have received directly from HMRC, this can only be updated by you through HMRC directly. If you were not expecting this change you should contact HMRC on 0300 200 3300 to understand this further.

I want to be self-employed, how do I do this?

It is very rare for a nanny to be able to be self-employed but it may be possible. We recommend that you contact your local council to enquire about becoming registered on their local list of childcare providers.
